I've been dreading packing - putting it off whenever I can. It feels like I just moved (and actually, I just did)!! Thanks goodness for good friends like Krissie who make it bearable. She came over around 1:30 and helped sort through all of my clothes. I have about two suitcases full of stuff I want to take with me, and a couple of boxes of clothes that I want to store at my parents' place. I also have a monster-sized bag of stuff that is going to Goodwill. They're making a killing off me this season!! Its ridiculous how much junk I've accumulated!! I am really loving the idea of just taking what I can carry with me to London. There's something very freeing about letting go of all of the junk... I can't say it's been easy, but it feels good to go "minimalist."

Random thoughts: (crazy things start running though my head when I'm lost and driving in circles)

I decided to start my blog to journal all of the wild and crazy things my friends and I do. If you read some of my early entries, you'll see why. Its not deep. Its not philosophical. Its just a way to document my good times. (inspired by a conversation I had earlier tonight)

How crazy is it that I was ready to get married and be settled down three years ago!? My life would have been completely different. I am so happy things have turned out the way they have!!

I have met some of the most amazing and fabulous people in the last three years. They have found their way in and out of my life, but they have taught me what life can be and not to expect less.

I am really going to miss Charlotte.

I REALLY WANT KISSES BEFORE I LEAVE TOWN!!! (Sorry, had to throw that one in there) Where is Baby Josh when I need him?! I used to call out "kisses" and he would show up with a little peck for me... Gotta love friends that come running when you need them!

I really had a good, long explanation about the last week: How much fun I had at Thomas Street on Friday night; How great the weekend in Atlanta was and that we even made an appearance in the Dexter Freebish hotel room and a late-night trip to the Waffle House; and how I had a wonderful birthday. But somehow, writing it a second time is just not as much fun. By the way, the original entry was full of shout-outs to Krissie, Ashley, Annie and Brad - sorry I'm too lazy to repeat myself, but its really getting late around here.

The Will Hoge show tonight was awesome and I'm really tempted to hitch a ride to South Carolina on Saturday to see him again. I have a lot of packing to do, so we'll see... Of course, he didn't sing the "anyone but you" song and I can't leave town without hearing it. (Like how I can rationalize a road-trip?) However, Doy the drummer said that they are scheduled to play in London at the end of October, so is anyone interested in an across-the-ocean road trip???
I just typed a huge entry and somehow it disappeared, so I will try and sum it all up:

  1. I had a great time tonight.
  2. I'm really going to miss Charlotte and all of my wonderful friends.
  3. My birthday was nice - great gifts Krissie and Ashley!!
  4. The weekend was a BLAST!!
  5. I'm going to bed. Have a good night.

Somehow, this time it isn't as good as what I had originally written. This sucks!!

I'm having issues publishing posts at my new place. I can type and save entries, Laura's computer just won't let me publish them. I'm trying to put a plan together...
